The Buddenbrooks

Emanuel Geibel - 200 Years

Probably the most well-known work by the romantic poet is the poem "Wanderlied" (Wandering Song), which is also known as "Der Mai ist gekommen" (May Has Come). In the 2nd half of the 19th century he was one of the most famous German poets.
